Boys ages 9-18 years (elementary - high school)
Day Camper: $525 per session
Boarding Camper: $625 per session
Camp tuition is due in full at the time of registration. A 3% processing fee will be added at checkout.
$100 of your camp tuition (plus the online processing fee) is non-refundable regardless of the date of cancellation with no exceptions. Should circumstances require you to cancel prior to two weeks ahead of your camp session’s start date, you may choose to receive a refund for all except for the non-refundable portion of your tuition or you may choose to apply your entire tuition toward the immediate next summer's Duke Men’s Basketball Camp (non-transferrable). Use of the camp credit is still subject to availability at the time of registration for the following summer's camp. If there is an increase in camp tuition, the registrant must pay the difference between the current tuition and the tuition at the time of the original registration/cancellation. A camper may not choose the camp credit option and then later elect for a partial refund.
Day campers participate in the same activities as boarding campers except for breakfast in the on-campus cafeteria and overnight in the dorms. Day campers are expected to have breakfast prior to their arrival at Cameron Indoor Stadium each day between 8:00 and 8:15am and to be picked up either after their evening game or after the evening program which ends at approximately 8:30pm. Day campers must check-in each morning and check-out with an adult each evening at the Manager's Stand in Cameron Indoor Stadium. If the camper does not check in or out, the camp will place phone calls to the camper's home and emergency phone numbers until the camper is located. Day campers are not permitted in the dorms.
What To Bring To Camp:
Please label all belongings.
- Basketball shoes
- At least six pairs of basketball shorts
- At least six pairs of athletic socks
- At least six t-shirts
- Toiletries and shower shoes (campers share hall bathrooms in the dorms)
Each camper is responsible for bringing his own linens and towels, we recommend:
- Sheets (twin, extra-long)
- Pillow and pillow case
- Bath and face towels
- Campers are permitted to bring cell phones, iPods, etc to camp but we strongly recommend that these items be left locked in the camper's dorm room or be stored in the camp bank. The camp is not responsible for lost items. If your camper chooses to carry a bag around to gyms, please make sure the bag is clearly identifiable and labeled with his name.
- For campers who need to carry medication with them throughout the camp day, we recommend a string backpack labeled clearly with the camper’s name.
Check-in takes place from 10:30am until 1:30pm in Cameron Indoor Stadium on the first day of each session of camp.
All campers must be checked out and picked up by 2:00pm on the last day of camp. On the last day of each session of camp, check-out will take place for boarding campers down at their dorms and for day campers in the Managers' Stand in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Parents should arrange a meeting place with their campers prior to check-out - often the best meeting place is the location of the camper's final camp game as that final game is your camper's last activity for the camp session. Boarding campers will be required to have their rooms inspected and to turn in their room keys prior to departure.
Our primary goal in forming camp teams is to ensure balanced competition. Teams are assigned based on date of birth and height and are adjusted by our coaching staff during evaluation games on the first day. We do not honor team assignment requests.
Only campers and Duke Basketball Camp staff are permitted in the cafeteria and dormitories. The exterior doors are locked and accessible only through key-card access by our camp staff. Individual rooms are secured with a traditional lock and key and the campers have these keys. They are able to lock the rooms from the inside at night. In the dorms, there is at least one camp coach on every hall and a medical trainer in each dorm. The campus is monitored by Duke Campus Police just as it is during the school year.
When you have successfully completed the online application and your credit card payment has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email to the address associated with your online account. This email confirms your camper's admittance into camp. There is nothing sent by standard mail. If you believe that your registration went through successfully but you have not received your confirmation email, please check your junk email folder. If you still cannot find your confirmation, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will receive an additional email closer to camp time with some additional information and reminders.
Unfortunately, we are limited by NCAA regulations and are unable to provide financial assistance to our camp.
Coach K/Duke Staff/Duke Players Role in Camp:
Coach K is very involved with the camp, and with few exceptions, speaks to the camp at least once a day. The rest of the current Duke coaching staff also has a daily presence at camp. Coach K will also take a photo with each camp team which will be available for download in the weeks following camp.
Former and current players speak to the camp and sign autographs when available. We always have former and current players around camp but, because of their busy and sometimes unpredictable schedules, are unable to announce in advance which players will be there during which sessions.
The Camp is financially responsible to Duke University the day after each session ends for the replacement of locks for any missing keys. If you or your camper do not turn in your key by check-out, you will be notified of a $100 balance on your camp account that can be covered by credit card online with an associated $5 processing fee. The Camp does not profit from the collection of these fees, all $105 go toward processing payment and to the university to cover the replacement of locks and keys.
We have certified athletic trainers available around the clock during camp sessions including in each of the gymnasiums in which camp activities are taking place and overnight in the dorms. Our athletic trainers will be available during check-in to answer any questions you may have about your camper's medical care.
For security reasons, visitors are not allowed in the dormitories except for during check-in and check-out. Additionally, visitors are not allowed in the dining hall. Family and visitors are welcome to observe daily camp activities and are invited to sit upstairs in Cameron Indoor Stadium during any of the camp lectures, stations, or games.
Friends and family are welcome to send mail to campers, which will be handed out during camp. The camp address is:
